Sudoku Sanctuary

Terms of Use

Last updated: 31 October 2026 · The German version is legally binding.

1. Scope and provider

These Terms of Use govern the use of the app Sudoku Sanctuary (the “Game”) between you and Nam Le, Geest Anger 6, 24855 Jübek, Germany (“we”). Contact: info@frog-job.com.

Purchases via Google Play are additionally subject to Google Play’s terms (see sections 5 to 7).

The Game is intended for consumers aged 16 and over.

2. Licence

We grant you the non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Game for private, non-commercial purposes on your own devices.

All rights in the Game, its graphics, texts, sounds and marks remain with us or the respective rights holders. Components under open-source licences are subject to their licence terms (see “Open-source licences”).

You may not modify, decompile or reverse-engineer the Game except where permitted by Sections 69d and 69e of the German Copyright Act or other mandatory law.

3. Fair use

Please use the Game only as intended. In particular, it is not permitted to manipulate game progress, purchases or rewards, to circumvent technical protection measures or daily limits, or to generate automated or fake ad views (for example with bots).

4. Virtual items and in-game currency

The Game contains virtual items and currencies such as coins, water drops, seeds, hints and shields. You do not acquire ownership of them, only a right to use them in the Game under these terms.

Virtual items can only be used in the Game. They cannot be exchanged for real money or goods, cashed out, sold or transferred to other people. Your statutory rights in connection with purchases (for example refunds via Google Play) remain unaffected.

We do not devalue purchased coins unilaterally: we do not change the coin price of items already on offer to your disadvantage while you hold purchased coins; new content may have new prices.

Game progress and virtual items are stored only on your device. Without cloud saving, they are lost when you use “Delete all data”, uninstall the app, reset or lose the device, or change devices without a direct transfer, and we cannot restore them because we have no copy. This also applies to purchased coins already credited and to the contents of the Starter Bundle. The app restores an active subscription and the ownership of the Starter Bundle via Google Play.

5. Purchases via Google Play

Paid content can be bought exclusively through Google Play’s billing system. Your contracting party for the purchase is currently Google Commerce Limited; the Google Play Terms of Service apply (https://play.google.com/about/play-terms/). Google Play shows you the price, currency, term and payment conditions before the purchase; in the EU, prices include VAT.

  • Starter Bundle (one-time purchase): the content described in the app before the purchase, granted once.
  • Guardian Pass (subscription) with exactly these benefits: (1) no ads of any kind in the app, including ad formats of future versions; (2) every reward that would otherwise require an ad is granted instantly, within the same daily limits; (3) 2 Smart Hints every day. Benefits may be added; they are only reduced under the conditions of Section 327r BGB (in particular with timely notice and your right to terminate free of charge).
  • Coin packs (consumables): in-game currency credited after purchase and used up in the Game.

Content is unlocked or credited as soon as Google Play has confirmed the purchase.

6. Subscription (Guardian Pass): renewal and cancellation

The Guardian Pass renews automatically for one month at a time until you cancel it. Google Play charges the price at the start of each billing period. If Google Play offers a trial period or introductory price, you will see its duration and the subsequent price before purchasing.

You can cancel at any time: in the app under Settings → “Manage or cancel subscription” or directly in Google Play’s subscription management (https://play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep the benefits until then. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription.

Google Play announces price increases for an ongoing subscription in advance. Depending on the country, they apply only if you agree, or you can cancel before they take effect; the details are governed by Google Play’s terms.

7. Right of withdrawal and refunds

Because Google Commerce Limited is currently your contracting party for purchases, your statutory right of withdrawal exists against Google Commerce Limited; the details of exercising it and of refunds are governed by Google Play’s terms. Google informs you about your right of withdrawal during the purchase. You request refunds via your Google Play order history (https://play.google.com/store/account/orderhistory); more information: https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/2479637

In addition, you can declare a withdrawal electronically in the app at any time and without signing in: Settings → “Withdraw from a contract” (see the Withdrawal information). We confirm receipt by e-mail without delay.

If you have questions or problems with a purchase, we are happy to help: info@frog-job.com. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

8. Availability, updates and changes

The Game works without an internet connection. Ads, purchases and restoring purchases require an internet connection and Google Play.

Via Google Play, we provide the updates necessary to keep the Game in conformity with the contract and secure (Section 327f of the German Civil Code, BGB), including security updates at least until December 2031. Please install updates promptly.

Beyond that, we may change the Game (for example new content, game balance, design) if there is a valid reason, such as technical development, security, changed legal requirements, bug fixing or game balance, if the change is reasonable for you taking your interests into account, if it causes you no additional costs and if we inform you clearly and comprehensibly (Section 327r BGB), namely through a notice in the app that you can open again at any time and in the release notes on Google Play. A change will not take away purchased items or in-game currency already credited to you. If a change affects your access to purchased content or its usability more than insignificantly, we will inform you in advance; you then have the rights under Section 327r(3) and (4) BGB.

If we discontinue the Guardian Pass, we will inform you in good time beforehand. Periods already paid for remain unaffected.

9. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, for fraudulently concealed defects, under the German Product Liability Act and to the extent of any guarantee we have given.

In the event of a slightly negligent breach of an essential contractual obligation, our liability is limited to the damage typical for the contract and foreseeable when the contract was concluded. Essential contractual obligations are those whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose fulfilment you may regularly rely. Otherwise, our liability for slight negligence is excluded.

Your statutory warranty rights, in particular under Sections 327 et seq. BGB, remain unaffected.

10. Termination

You can stop using the Game at any time by uninstalling the app (Section 19(1) TDDDG). A subscription must be cancelled separately via Google Play (see section 6).

11. Governing law, language, dispute resolution

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer with your habitual residence in another country, you retain the protection of the mandatory provisions of that country.

These terms are available in German, English, French and Vietnamese. In case of doubt, the German version prevails; however, any ambiguity in a translation will not be interpreted to your disadvantage.

We are neither obliged nor willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.

If any provision is invalid, the remaining provisions remain valid; the statutory provisions take the place of the invalid provision.

12. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, the new version applies to you only once you agree to it, for example by confirming it in the app. If you do not agree, the previous terms continue to apply; rights from purchases already made remain unaffected.
